Now in its final month of exhibition, over 150,000 people have already attended Field of Light: Avenue of Honour since it opened in October 2018. As the closing date approaches, people are hurrying to book their Albany stay and experience this beautiful installation.
With school holidays coinciding with the final weeks of opening, this period is set to be the busiest yet. If you're planning to visit over the Easter weekend, we have good news - there will be a free shuttle bus service running between the Albany Boatshed and Field of Light: Avenue of Honour on Good Friday 19th April, Easter Saturday 20th April and Easter Sunday 21st April. Between 5:00pm and 10:30pm on each of these evenings, buses will run every 15 minutes between the two venues.
Please note: the shuttle buses will take you to the entrance of Field of Light: Avenue of Honour, but will not drive you through the installation. Access will remain pedestrian only, as usual.
Whilst the carpark at the base of Mount Clarence (where the installation is located) will remain open for use, the bus service provides an additional option as we anticipate very high numbers over the long weekend. Patrons are invited to park at the Albany Entertainment Centre and take the free shuttle bus to and from the Avenue of Honour.
